What makes this particular product "double duty" versus the regular Arm & Hammer litter deodorizer powder?

They both contain moisture activated SBC crystals and odor neutralizers. The ARM & HAMMER Double Duty Cat Litter Deodorizer Powder also contains additional odor neutralizers specifically developed for fecal malodors.

Do I have to put a thick film of the powder ontop or sprinkle it to just coat? Also, am I supposed to mix this in or leave it ontop?

In a clean, empty litter box, pour deodorizer to cover the bottom of the litter box. Add any type of litter as usual. Sprinkle on top of litter and mix in. Between litter changes, sprinkle on top after scooping to keep litter fresh.

Thank you for asking me to review my purchase. I was going to call about this problem but forgot. Don’t put crushable boxes of power in the same box as a big bag of litter. The weight of the litter crushed the box of Arm & Hammer and there was powder leaking everywhere inside and outside of the shipping box. I didn’t actually try the product because I need to put the remaining powder into another container.

I have been using this product for probably over 15/20 yrs The smell is very light upon immediate distribution & has never bothered ANY of cats ... once .mixed in w/litter that initial dissipates ... LOVE LOVE LOVE & will never stop using it Cats said absolutely NO bathroom pictures please lol

I always use this deodorizer with clumping litter (A&H) and it helps greatly with keeping cat box odors manageable. I sprinkle a little in the litter box after cleaning it out each day. Yes, It’s an added expense especially when I already pay higher prices for deodorized litter, but when you have a sensitive nose and enjoy having company over, it’s worth it!

I recieved a 16# bag of cat food, two containers of treats, (each in a box, NICE!), four boxes of A&H litter deodorizer, and a container of calming collars. There was one useless piece of brown paper in tthe box and everthing was sliding around in shipment. One box of A&H litter deodorizer was buster and was all over everything. This is not the first time a product was damaged because the box was too big or poorly packed. Otherwise, I LOVE CHEWY!!!!!!

Great for litter types that need a little extra assistance with the odor fighting aspect, or to boost the odor neutralizing aspects for multi-cat boxes. The only thing I have yet to test is whether this aggravates the allergies. My cats sneeze a lot, but it's not always after they use the litter box. Just be mindful that if your cats are sensitive to respiratory issues, it's possible that this could be a potential aggravator.

I like Chewy.com! Nice selection, acceptable pricing, good service on the phone...but the packing from the distribution center in my area is terrible. Maybe your area is better, but product delivered to me is very often damaged or even destroyed, and it's not FedEx fault. In this last case, they packed the arm & hammer litter baking soda in with the 40lb. box of litter itself, with no cushioning between them. The baking soda box was, of course, beat to death. I just threw it away. One of us, either chewy or myself, is going to have to change. I can't keep paying for beat-up product. Sorry.
