Is this bulb compatible with the medzoo dome lamp

I’ve always been told colored lights are a thing of the past - don’t use them. If this is the case, then why are they for sale?

My understanding is that labeling this product as a colored bulb allowed the manufacturer to get around the 2023 US ban on general-use halogen bulbs before more general exceptions for reptile husbandry bulbs were put into place. I believe red, blue, and purple bulbs are the traditional colored lights that we are cautioned to avoid in order to prevent disruption of reptile circadian rhythms.

For the best results, this heater should be used with a suitable dimming thermostat, UV, and LED system (sold separately). The Arcadia GoldenSun Halogen is created with an E26 screw fitting, simply screw into your lamp holder and always use with a thermostat.

The golden film gives the bulb a nice spread and reduces the intensity of the IR-A, making it great for critters like leopard geckos, corn snakes, and other crepuscular animals. I wouldn’t recommend this for critters who need more intensity like bearded dragons, the film reduces the IR-A too much. But it’s great for other species!
