What type/brand of heater should be used with this tank?

Folks: Aqueon SELLS heaters that are completely submersible AND will fit in this tank. I use their 10W submersible, and it is working wonderfully in my 2.5 gallon set up. Constant 78 degrees, and our little Betta, Klaus, is a happy, happy boy!!

What filters should I buy for the 5 gallon tank?

I bought the 2.5 Gallon tank a few months ago, however the pump/filter stopped working already. Is there a way to replace just that part when everything else is in great condition?

Is this tank big enough to house a single beta fish in a healthy way for the fish?

Of all the tanks we've had for our Betas over the years this is by far the best one. Super easy setup to change the water, the shape and platform bottom make it set nicely on the table and give great visibility to watch the fish. The filter on this thing is super quiet, I keep checking it to make sure it's actually running and it doesn't have a strong pull that will hurt the little fish like some tank filters do. We bought the smaller tank having just one Beta and it's the perfect size for one fish. Overall super happy with this purchase.

I’ve only been using this for a few days, but so far, so good. I have a goldfish from a carnival, and we’ve had him for a year. Goldfish tend to be “dirty” fish, so I always use a filter to keep the water clean. I like the look of the tank, and I’m curious to see how the first water change will go using the special feature. Some things I’ve noticed: The filter is stronger than I anticipated, and may create too strong of a current for small beta fish. (I have a beta in a separate tank from another company) I considered turning the filter off when I feed him because the filter blows the flakes all over the place and causes them to sink. The light seems to stress him out, so I don’t use the light. Also, the bowed front seems to magnify slightly, making the fish look bigger than he is. I wonder if it causes any weird distortions/reflections from the fish’s viewpoint. Overall, Cleo seems happy.

Love this tank!

I bought this tank because I eventually want to get a betta again, and currently have a mystery snail that needed more space. Tank was easy to set up and looks beautiful

I bought this tank because I eventually want to get a betta again, and currently have a mystery snail that needed more space. Tank was easy to set up and looks beautiful. The innovative water changing system makes changes a breeze. The only complication I had was that I have the tank on a narrow counter with a wall behind it. The tube that pumps water through the filter swivels to the back of the tank. I have no room in back to place a vessel behind the tank for water changes, but solved the problem by attaching a piece of aquarium tubing to it and voila, water change accomplished. The pump is super quiet and I like that you can easily see the condition of the filter by lifting the lid. I treated the water with API's water conditioner and Quick Start. Tested it one week after setup and all parameters were perfect! Eventually I'll get another fish, but for now my snail is happily cruising her spacious new home.
