If your dog is scratching, licking or chewing like crazy, you want to provide relief that starts acting quickly. Apoquel Chewable effectively controls allergic itch within 24 hours [2].

Approved for Short-Term and Long-Term Use

Apoquel Chewable can be used for long-term maintenance or short-term therapy [3,4].

for allergic itch in dogs [*6,7].

About Apoquel

Apoquel is a revolutionary oral medication for dogs with allergic itch. It works differently than other medications by going right to the source to stop the underlying cause of itch in dogs with skin allergies [6]. Apoquel is offered as either a tablet or chewable formulation with a veterinarian's prescription. Talk to your vet about what's best for your dog.

Important Safety Information

See full Prescribing Information. Do not use Apoquel Chewable in dogs less than 12 months of age or those with serious infections. Apoquel Chewable may increase the chances of developing serious infections, and may cause existing parasitic skin infestations or pre-existing cancers to get worse. Consider the risks and benefits of treatment in dogs with a history of recurrence of these conditions.  New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) were observed in clinical studies and post-approval.  Apoquel Chewable has not been tested in dogs receiving some medications including some commonly used to treat skin conditions such as corticosteroids and cyclosporines. Do not use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Most common side effects are vomiting and diarrhea. Apoquel Chewable has been used safely with many common medications including parasiticides, antibiotics and vaccines.

INDICATIONS: Control of pruritus (itching) associated with allergic dermatitis and control of atopic dermatitis in dogs at least 12 months of age.

Best in the business and that’s why it cost so much. However this is probably the less expensive place where you can buy it. One those thing we wait for a generic however apoquel is going to make their money on this pill. My dog would look like a rag doll if it wasn’t for this medicine. Antihistamine don’t work, well they work for allergies reactions but not for long term effects.

I bought this because Miley was constantly licking her paws at night (her allergies )and this would keep me up all night since she sleeps in the room with me. What I appreciated more was that the person I spoke with at chewy.com suggested that I give her the medication at night thus letting both of us sleep because Miley is no longer constantly chewing and licking her paws.

If this type of medication is recommend from your vet. Do not get medication. My Pet, Maggie has been on this medication for almost 5 years. Veterinary clinic I went to Only wanted to increase the dosage but it has not improved. I have read the side effects and she has all of them! This just breaks my heart because I trusted the VET’s that they would take care of her needs but really leaving her to become more miserable.

I was extremely disappointed to receive only half of the quantity of medication ordered. When I contacted customer service I was told that the remaining quantity of the prescription was for that amount of medication. When they were in contact with our vet, they could have easily gotten approval for the correct amount. This medication is much more expensive in the smaller quantity.

I rate this 3 stars because it significantly alleviated my German Shepherd's allergies. However, he developed REALLY bad anxiety. He began hiding in the closet, retreating to the basement to lie down, and just behaving very oddly. We tried EVERYTHING, and eventually, my vet mentioned that she had heard of this pill causing such side effects. We discontinued it, and he immediately returned to his normal self unfortunately, the itching resumed, so we had to reintroduce it. Bam! Anxiety returned, hiding in closets, and so on. I didn't want him on this medication any longer, so we changed his diet, and now the allergies are gone. His diet consists of Victor sensitive skin and stomach, the fish one, and I make a food topper of salmon and beef liver that I mix myself. Allergies are gone he's allergic to chicken, beef, and turkey. each time we introduced this pill, anxiety was heightened

This delivery took twice the amount of time than it ever has before, even with needing auth by the vet. No bad weather. The worst part was that when I finally did receive my boys meds, the driver put it at a random side of my house that was clearly not the front door where I have a doorbell camera. Packages get stolen all the time in my neighborhood. I will be looking for another place to purchase prescription medications that are over $3.59 a pill.

After ordering my dogs rx, got an email saying Chewy was waiting for my vet's approval. When I originally ordered I told the rep the vet on file needed changed. He assured me it was done and new vet added. Chewy attempted to get a reply from previous not new vet. This caused delays and confusion on this order. It eventually got worked out but the delay caused my dog to go too long with the needed rx. And, it wasn't as if I ordered the rx and had no back ups. I had several days and expected when that ran out the new rx would have arrived.
