Important Safety Information

Do not use Apoquel or Apoquel Chewable in dogs less than 12 months of age or those with serious infections. Apoquel and Apoquel Chewable may increase the chances of developing serious infections, and may cause existing parasitic skin infestations or pre-existing cancers to get worse. Consider the risks and benefits of treatment in dogs with a history of recurrence of these conditions. New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) were observed in clinical studies and post approval. Apoquel and Apoquel Chewable have not been tested in dogs receiving some medications including some commonly used to treat skin conditions such as corticosteroids and cyclosporines. Do not use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Most common side effects are vomiting and diarrhea. Apoquel and Apoquel Chewable have been used safely with many common medications including parasiticides, antibiotics and vaccines. Apoquil has made it possible for my dog-son to be a happy playful normal dog again! My dog is allergic to Humans, yes, seriously! Our little piebald dachshund was scratching nonstop, to the point of breaking skin, infections, lesions, hair loss and sleep loss. His sweet eyes were so puffy and nothing we tried helped. We got an environmental test and found out he’s allergic to human dander, ants, flies, dust, wool, other things, basically the poor little dog has issues. We started Apoquel and almost immediately his condition improved! His eyes aren’t puffy, his skin isn’t bright red with lesions, his hair is growing back and his scratching has reduced 75-90% (depending on the days, some days are better than others). Finally mommy can sleep and my dog-son can be a normal dog and play! I’m so thankful for this medication as my dog clearly has a severe issue. My vet worked with chewy to get the script sent over and besides the stress of waiting for the package to arrive we are so pleased with our experience.

It gripes my backside to have to pay this much for an allergy pill it's like almost $4 a pill when you're on a fixed income that's a lot of money but all my dogs are rescues they've been through enough in life so I have to spend the money and make Cuts elsewhere I treat them the best I can until it's time for him across the bridge every dog we have is always been a rescue they never take anything from the puppy factories they're always abandoned tortured neglected or abused animals and we try to give them best home that we can until their time comes this medication helps because my dog has severe allergies and this pill seems to help quite a bit so I would definitely recommend it and chewy and don't blame chewy for the price the pill company sets it

The carrier left a box of prescription Apoquel pills on my front doorstep. It contained 60 tablets. My 1 year old dog, Star, a 100 pound Anatolian Shepherd, took the box and ripped it open. She ingested all 60 pills. I was horrified. I rushed her to the emergency vet and they induced vomiting and gave her activated charcoal and put her on an IV with lipids. I spent the entire night with her. Thank God she pulled through but we don’t know what long term effects of the overdose will have on her liver, kidneys and cardiovascular system. My bill was almost $5,000. There must be a law that packages with prescription drugs be labeled so a carrier is required to either have the package signed or placed in a secure location to ensure that no animal or child can have access to it. I have just spent the last 48 hours on an emotional roller coaster of grief wondering if my best friend was going to live or die. This should never have happened and I pray no one else has to go through what our family just did.

The Apoquel has definitely helped my boy, (English Bulldog), with his seasonal allergies and the scratching and licking that comes with them. However, I cannot say enough about the outstanding customer service I have received EVERY TIME I have called the Chewy Pharmacy. I was a little leery about ordering pharmacy items online but it has been a great experience and a significant savings over what I would pay at my vet. The only think I dislike is having to mail in my prescription - but that isn’t the fault of Chewy, it’s a rule my vet office has made to make it more difficult and a deterrent to order else where. It’s worth the effort of mailing the RX. Chewy even reimbursed me the cost for expedited mailing of my prescription to them!

Like many of us, I wound up with a dog I didn’t intend to have. He’s a 9 year old Australian Red Heeler, and he would lick and lick at his paws. I thought it might just be a habit, but he also has weepy eyes and itchy skin. My vet prescribed Apoquel and it has made such a difference. No more licking, the eyes are still a little leaky, but not like before. He still likes a good backscratch, but who doesn’t? These tabs are chewable so I don’t have to include a treat (he’s also overweight, so that’s a plus).

Our boy has terrible allergy issues. He bites, licks and scratches himself constantly without Apoquel. This product has been a life saver for our 95lb rescue Pittie. Apoquel did not work instantly, but in about 2 weeks of two 16mg tabs per day, he is much more comfortable, and doesn’t have any itchy issues. We have limited his treats, and also changed him to a limited ingredient diet. He is now 10 years old and doing great with Apoquel.

So my dog has had terrible allergies since he was a puppy. I take him to the vet constantly. This round; however, I got a coupon from Chewy in the mail for the chewable version of apoquel. I decided to just try it but normally I have to take him in to get a steroid before taking the apoquel because his allergies are too far gone. THIS TYPE though I did not and it’s only been a week of him taking it. He looks so much better!!!

My dog is allergic to everything...well it feels like it. When we adopted her from our shelter she had been treated for a horrible case of mange. It was so bad they couldn't tell what color her fur was supposed to be. She had been tied to a dumpster in the middle of summer and left for dead. She was so sunburned also since she didn't have any hair. After she was rid of the mange and her skin healed she showed signs of itchiness between her toes that became very red and irritated. She had watery eyes that she rubbed constantly. Her skin was itchy too. The vet prescribed Apoquel. It solved all of these issues. She is so happy to be allergy free. She takes the pill willingly. No side effects.

Our GSD (Ava) was suffering from severe allergies. The first photo is not the worst it had gotten for her. But this was when she started to look better enough to see a difference. The issue with the shots were (price & how long they lasted). The vet techs were a bit afraid of her and when she jumps from the injection, so do they and I feel she wasn't really getting the whole dose. They started wearing off by 3 weeks. We asked to switched her to Apoquel in June and saw a huge improvement in the first week. The second photo is Ava almost 100%. The hair around her eyes, ears and mouth have started to fill back in and she no longer has huge patches of missing fur on her body. She needs a good de-shedding due to summer but we brush her often with a soft dog brush since she has been so miserable. The allergies started at age one (she is two in July 2024) and she is also on a special diet. We have backup Apoquel in case we have a month when the shipping is messed up or slow. We will not allow her to suffer like she did. It was horrible trying everything we could topical, oral and shots until we started Apoquel. She no longer loses gobs of fur and dander. Plus her mood improved a ton too, because being miserable and itchy is no fun. My only complaint is price, but it is still less expensive than the allergy shots.

I adopted inari in October who had an untreated skin condition with patches of hair actually scratched off. My vet suggested apoquel and diet changes and she has grown most of the hair back. Until we can determine possible food allergies as the cause the apoquel is really helping.
