My 7 yr old male cat only pees a few drops. Will this work for him

Answer by ChewyOct 28, 2018
This delicious chicken-flavored liquid supplement encourages the release of fluids, helping to return your pet back to a normal routine. Since this supplement discourages struvite and oxalate crustal formation, it’s great for treating existing complications as well as preventing future occurrences. However, we recommend reaching out to your vet for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.

we recently found cyrstals in my cats urine, I wanted to try out different options before the c/d diet. how long does it usually take for this supplement to show any results? hes only been on it for 2 days, so I want to know when I should check another urine sample on him

Answer by ChewyJul 23, 2019
You will begin to see results a month after usage, depending on your pet.

How much do you give your dog if he's 103 pounds?

Answer by ChewyMar 29, 2018
For pets weighing 10 lbs and under, give 1.0 ml daily. For every additional 5 lbs of body weight, add 0.5 ml daily to their dosage. A 103 pound pet may be given 10 ml.

My male kitten experienced idiopathic cystitis and ended up with a complete urinary blockage when he was 9 months old. It cost a lot of money when I took him to the care center, but they saved his life. About a week later, after I brought him home from the care center he started acting like he was going to block again. I couldn't afford another pricey care center bill so I started doing some research, and I came across this product. It took about 3-4 days for it to finally kick in but it really has helped him, and he's had no real issue since I started it with him.

This is my second time purchasing this product, as I’ve seen positive effects on my cat’s health. However, the dropper isn’t very reliable, so I’ve had to transfer the liquid to another bottle. I initially thought the new dropper was improved, but it had just swollen due to the heat during delivery. I suggest considering an upgrade to the dropper design. Also, a small request to the Chewy delivery team: if possible, please leave the package in a shaded area or right at the door.

As I googled through chewy website I found this product. I have a 12 year old shitzu who required antibiotics twice within 2 weeks of each other due to blood in urine. Prostate good according to x-rays. But he was refusing to use potty pad at night so he was waking me up constantly to take him out. Of course mommy wasn't too pleased with this behavior. So Chewy ,as always, delivered immediately within a couple of days. I started it and he has been on it for a month. It has helped considerably. Now he is barking to be taken out once during the night compared to 4-5. All is good. I can sleep better now. I don't like that product needs to be refrigerated but if it's helping then I'll deal with that. I definitely recommend. Chewy has such awesome service

I think UROMAXX is helping my kitty. It comes with a calibrated dropper to measure out the amount of liquid needed. I contacted the manufacture about a BETTER way to administer the liquid. Unfortunately, they were not interested in my GOOD IDEA. Oh well, I guess they are not interested in improving their product. But here is what I do to measure and administer the liquid. I have removed the dropper top of the bottle and replaced it with a press-in bottle adapter. This allows me to insert the tip of a (non-needle)syringe into the top of the bottle and pull out the exact amount of liquid needed for my cat, then squirt it on her food. This is better than the "dropper" method because (1) I pull up the exact amount of liquid every time. With the dropper it takes a few tries to get the right amount into the dropper. (2) One push and the correct amount is on my cat's food. The dropper requires a few squeezes to empty it completely. (3) The dropper is not long enough to reach the bottom of the bottle. Using the syringe method you can get every last drop of liquid that you paid for out of the bottle. So if you buy UROMAXX you might check online or with your veterinarian about altering the top of the bottle to make it easier and more efficient to administer to you pet.

This product saved my 8 yr old cats life!

My 8 yr old cat zoey began peeing on my carpet repeatedly. I took her to a vet who said she had a uti. The vet gave her an antibiotic by injection to no avail! I spent almost $400.00 with the vet and a small fortune in cleaning solutions to eliminate the Urine odor. Zoey would go back to the same spots and pee again. She had never done this Before. I was beside myself. Being on a limited income i couldnt afford to continue taking her to the vet. My only solution i thought was to euthanize her. Instead i called chewy to see if their was Anything i could give her for bladder control. They recommended. UroMaxx. I put,a few drops on Her food every morning and the results have been unbelievable. Not only did she completely stop Peeing everywhere, but her appetite has improved! She is a different cat now. This Product literally saved Zoeys life. She will be 9 soon and i look forward to spending many more years with her! I am so grateful for this product and just ordered my 2nd bottle. Zoey is happy and playful again and i am so happy i didnt take that final step and tried one more avenue. I whole heartily recommend this product to anyone who is having this issue with their dog or cat. It will not only save you money on vet bills but will more importantly save your pets life! I dont make a habit of writing reviews but i cannot say enough about URO MAXX!

Our 10 year old female cat seems to suffer from Feline Idiopathic Cystitis. Within our first 4 months after adopting her, she had two separate episodes of acting SICK… no appetite, straining in the litter box, lethargic etc. Trips to her regular vet and the kitty ER revealed nothing— urine cultures clean, blood work fine, no evidence of stones— so they told us her urinary symptoms were likely caused by ~*stress*~. In an attempt to 1) not have our baby suffer and 2) avoid expensive vet visits for no good reason, we did a urinary health overhaul. We eliminated all dry food from her diet, eliminated fish products from her diet, installed a pet fountain to encourage water intake, and started giving UroMaxx as a daily supplement. In the 6 months since we made these changes, we’ve had no issues. Our kitty is completely unbothered by the UroMaxx mixed with her food, and even though we’re using it every day, a bottle lasts a long time. Who knows if the UroMaxx is what’s really making the difference, but it’s such a low cost intervention that we will probably keep her on it for the foreseeable future.

My 21 year old cat started showing signs of a UTI with blockage on Thanksgiving. This was her first ever. Due to COVID, our remote location, and the holiday with a blizzard, we weren't going to be able to get her to a vet for days. I ordered this as a hail mary, and it showed up the next day. By the next morning the cat had started peeing. By the next day she had returned to normal flow with no signs of a UTI. We are now giving this to her daily, and will keep doing such. She is not a fan of chicken, so she won't touch the food until the formula has dried. She *loves* salmon and will take meds and such in a heartbeat with that flavor. If this ever had a salmon flavored option that would be fantastic. Kudos to chewy on the amazingly fast delivery. I was not expecting the package the next day. You saved my cats life.

My young cat developed idiopathic cystitis (crystals) and after an emergency visit to the vet, was prescribed special food to control this going further. Needless to say she wasn't having anything to do with the prescription food and after starving her for three days, I gave up and put her back on her regular canned food as well as Firstmate dry. I bought this as a supplement to support her condition, and there has only been one episode of the crystals returning in the last six months, most likely due to me slacking off and not adding it to her food. It's certainly worth a try, especially if your cat won't eat prescription food. I feel better about giving her this with her grain free regular food than the horrible non-nutritious prescription food.

Been giving to my cat for 5 years

I bought this for my cat when I first adopted her since she was 11 and her records said she had kidney issues. She is 16 now and has never had any kidney issues or a UTI. I put it in her wet food everyday along with some water and she is very healthy in her old age.
