My Dog is My ALARM Clock @5:20am bc of this food

Needless to say, I am NOT a morning person and CERTAINLY NOT w/o my coffee! My dog starts at 5:00am “bumping” me then that ever-so-lightly placed paw on my cheek

Needless to say, I am NOT a morning person and CERTAINLY NOT w/o my coffee! My dog starts at 5:00am “bumping” me then that ever-so-lightly placed paw on my cheek & by 5:20 am on the dot, It is a full on bark. He eats then sleeps til 10am then outside - potty break. Unfortunately, once I’m up, I’m up. He just LOVES the Duck & sweet potato! He licks his bowl so hard it starts spinning in the stand. He loses more weight on Lamb and rice but he gets 1/3 can of Duck and sweet potato as treat with morning meds & evening meds. He’s 10 & 1/2 and has had hip and knee surgery. I try to keep him calm but you say “hungry” & he sits by the food cases stacked on the floor. I’ve even found a can or two in bed when I refused to get up. It was chewed but not open. My sweet baby wants to eat when he’s hungry. Good for me too. I get all my house chores done at least 3 days a week way before sun comes up!

We have always fed our four year old Golden Retriever homemade food but decided when the Corona Virus broke out that we should switch to a prepared food. This food actually looks like what we had been making him with pieces of sweet potato that you can see and none of that gross looking gelatin that we found in other cans. Roscoe loves it and has had no allergy reactions to it which is what got us started on making our own food in the first place. We plan on sticking with this food, we are really impressed with this product.

Love American Journey limited ingredient canned food! I buy this for my elderly JR-Terrier, Boo. Boo has allergy issues, sensitive tummy issues and because of age, teeth problems—canned food is the way to go for his nutritional needs. I’ve tried numerous brands of canned food with Boo; most, Boo would end up having tummy issues with or itchy issues or he’d lose interest in eating it! Never have any of these issues happened with American Journey limited ingredients canned dog food; he’ll even eat it cold directly from the fridge! Thank You American Journey and thank you Chewy!

We have 4 dogs in our crazy family and let’s just say that we DEFINITELY have some picky eating with our old girl. We decided to switch to American Journey wet & dry good due to it being a higher quality food from what we were feeding our dogs previously. We can’t say enough great things about this food! YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE INGREDIENTS, it’s not just slop with mystery meat! The quality is surely there and the dogs can’t get enough of it! Every time we put it down for breakfast & dinner they gobble it right up looking for more. Thank you Chewy for making quality products!

Normally, I have never had a problem with the American Journey Limited Ingredient wet can food. Normally I would rate it a 4.5. However, lately though, the consistency of the duck ingredient has been purely mush. The chicken is fine, but for some reason the duck has changed. It was never like this before. Coincidently or not, this mush has occurred since the can labels were rebranded. Did the ingredients/formula change too at this time? Change the "mush" consistency in the duck, and I will rate the combo pack higher.

I appreciate the low ingredients for a healthier option to my dogs diet. Combined wet with low ingredient dry food and fresh cooked chicken livers she's getting a balanced diet and she likes it. Brewers yeast & Greek yogurt add important elements for a healthy pet without breaking the bank.

My Olde English Bulldogge has been on Blue Buffalo puppy canned to mix with dry for 8 months, I thoufgt I'd give him a switch because he was getting picky over it. He took right to the Duck/Potato flavor. Without stomach issues , or gas . I also bought a case of the Chicken and potato , but haven't got there yet. Maybe I'll rotate. Great value here guys.

I have a young rescue who is driving me nuts with her food. She seems to be set on canned food (she even quickly tired of the refrigerated fresh food) so I'm trying these since they are highly rated by Dog Food Advisor and Chewy is a great vendor. She seems to like it so far. I try to hide my distaste at the texture haha, since I'm not the one eating it, but there is basically 0 texture. If you have a toothless dog this is your food. It's a bit more solid than pudding. No chewing necessary. What's important is whether she will consistently accept this food going forward without all the stress trying to get her to eat consistently. I will say, she doesn't run to her bowl like she does for cheaper canned food options but I do want her to have something decently healthy so hopefully she will consistently embrace these and not turn her nose up in a week. *fingers crossed*

Why change a good thing?

We've been using this variety pack of canned food for years and our dogs have loved it. Someone apparently couldn't leave well enough alone. This "new look" is terrible!

We've been using this variety pack of canned food for years and our dogs have loved it. Someone apparently couldn't leave well enough alone. This "new look" is terrible! As another reviewer mentioned, the Duck and Sweet Potato is now total mush, even when chilled in the fridge. It appears to be a finer grind and has more moisture. We have always mixed a scoop of the canned food with some dry kibble and with this new formula it packs down in the bottom of the bowl when the dogs eat. One of our dogs has few teeth and none of her incisors so this poses a real challenge for her. The Chicken flavor is not as bad but is still not the same as it was. Will definitely not buy the Duck again.

American Journey Limited Ingredient Chicken and Duck variety pack

With only my four rat terriers to do the taste testing, they all four gobbled both varieties up without hesitancy. The dogs have been suffering with some kind of

With only my four rat terriers to do the taste testing, they all four gobbled both varieties up without hesitancy. The dogs have been suffering with some kind of allergy this year. Some had red interiors of their ears others had itchy feet. My vet suggested they were suffering from food allergies. So after switching their diets over to both the A.J.L.I. Salmon and sweet potato kibble and as a topper to the dry food, I added the chicken and duck wet food, their symptoms have dramatically changed for the better. I added the A.J salmon oil, just a a small squirt to each bowl as well. The dogs all have made improvements with their stools, stinky breath and dull and shedding coats. Now I have to admit from a human perspective all of the above food is kind of pricey. But when you open the cans of the chicken or duck it is very mild smelling but my dogs went crazy over it. I LOVE the fact that there is no fillers, grains or meat by products in them. If your dogs are suffering from food allergies or you just want to keep them in tip top shape, I would recommend the American Journey Limited Ingredient products that Chewy currently carries. Go all out if you can and buy the Dry L.I. Kibble (salmon and sweet potato is my personal favorite) along with the wet food as a topper and don’t forget the A.J. Salmon oil. As a dog parent, there is no better feeling in the world to watch your ailing adult dogs become healthy and happy again. The coat shedding has virtually stopped and all dogs have a healthy sheen to them. They were sluggish in their activities, now they run and play as if they were young puppies again. What a difference this food has made on all four of them. Like I said before, it is kinda pricey but I would rather spend that money on good food than vet bills where all the vet can tell you is that your dogs have food allergies, lets run some pointless expensive lab tests and then all he told me to do was to switch their current food. I rate this food a 5 star rating. Try it, I don't think you will be disappointed.
