This is supposed to have an expiration date or manufacturers date. Neither of which I see on the box or anywhere tube or otherwise. Could you please explain why it doesn't as I am told it's supposed to.
What is difference between Advantage XD and II? I want one that is safe, but kills fleas, not just caused them to crawl to top.
Does this protect my cats from ticks also?

I have a small colony of feral cats which I provide food & outside shelter for. I felt really bad for the adult male cat who scratches incessantly. They only allow me to rub them during feeding time. I was able to put the Advantage XD on the back of the neck of the male the female adult car. And I have not seen on iota of scratching!! This stuff works!! I am so glad I tried it!

I always buy the one month Andvantage II, so when I saw this and it was for two months and was cheaper than buying two months of Advantage II I figured I'd get this
I always buy the one month Andvantage II, so when I saw this and it was for two months and was cheaper than buying two months of Advantage II I figured I'd get this. It works just fine for fleas, it's still Advantage after all, but the problem I have with it is it's twice as much liquid at one time. I thought it would be a stronger product, but it seems like it's the same amount of fluid as it would be if you put two tubes of the monthly product on at one time, for a small cat it's just too much. It ran down their sides and their backs while I'm trying to hold them still so it doesn't run completely off of them. I put it on three days ago and my cats are still wet looking and sticky everywhere the fluid went. If you have a large dog this would probably be fine, but I would not recommend for cats.

My cat had bad flea infestation and was constantly scratching and biting at himself earlier this spring. Since the medication, the flea are gone and he doesn’t scratch himself. This product is much more effective than “regular “ Advantage med. My cat is a large (15 lb) long hair indoor/outdoor cat.

No Fleas!!!

I treated 4 cats between 7-8 pm. The next morning 1 cat had lost fur & had an open wound in application spot. Not sure if it burned him but it caused an ulcer-type

He will most likely require antibiotics at the vet. The wound is very bad. Washing it with antiseptic soap & applying antibiotic ointment.

The product definitely works well for fleas, but there’s a lot more liquid to apply than the one month Advantage II It tends to run a bit, the added wetness was more upsetting to my more sensitive babies and my two longer coated cats , Molly and Puca get mats in their fur at the application site, especially Puca who is a ragdoll It isn’t a bad product, but since my babies are indoor only except for their enclosed outdoor condo I have no worry about ticks so I think I’ll switch back to the Advantage II

I, like others, thought you had to remove the cap!! Not the case but it's not listed anywhere on the directions! It also has no answer as to how long it takes to dry, if you need to apply the full tube and when you can safely pet your cat again!! I was very irritated with the paper insert. It needs to be fixed!

The last spot treatment from Adams was not strong enough. I mentioned that in my review, and was pleasantly surprised when I got a refund from Chewy. A big thank you to the Chewy team.
