Advantage II Flea Treatment for Ferrets

I was very upset with this product as of a year ago because there was barely enough medicine in the container and of course did not prevent the fleas Thus I basically wasted 55.00 and against my better judgment I decided to order again now it seems that they have did the amount of fluid that’s in the packet so far it seems like my little family business. Business is the name of multiple ferrets. is flea resistant at this point we will see how it goes over the next few week all of our paws and fingers are crossed

I was very excited to see that they had ferret specific flea treatments such as this. Many actual vets are unaware that they make ferret specific treatments even. Seeing the price is practically the same as a 3 treatment pack for cats of another label, I do wish that this had 3 treatments instead of just 2 to make keeping track of multi-animal treatment syncing easier and because it makes more sense to me personally. Other than the price/treatment amount issue, I really like that there is the option to buy my ferret her own flea treatment because as ferret owners will know, ferret systems are so finicky- and cat items, though more usually than not, are interchangeable but are not always the best option.

Last year, this stuff took some time to work because I had a bad infestation. I usually only treat the cat that goes outside every month, but my mom’s cat visited from out of state and came with fleas that were resistant to the flea meds. We didn’t have to switch this medication for the ferret. It took two months but the fleas were gone. I also recommend a flea comb and regular brushing. The pets like it. Last month, I found a flea on my indoor cat because I used the comb. If I hadn’t, I probably would not have noticed fleas on the animals until they spread to the ferret, or hopped on my child. You probably are aware that fleas are easy to spot on a white ferret, especially with a comb. No one is on her. The animals have been treated and are flea free.

I’ve been hand feeding a mama fox squirrel in my backyard ever since we went into quarantine. She had fleas all over her and had scratched her skin raw in some places. I tried to hide capstar tablets in her food or water but that only killed adult fleas, not larvae or eggs. I parted her fur and gave her one dose of advantage and the next day she was flea free. It’s been 29 days since she was treated and she’s still flea-free.
