Should horn worm habitat be stored in the frig?

Keep the habitat with either the lid up or if upside down on a screen or grate so the worms get fresh air. If you'd like your worms to grow larger, keep them at 82°. Keep them at 55° to slow their metabolism when they're at the desired size (a wine cooler works great for this). Shake out the yellow little 'kernels', these are the droppings and will build up quickly.

How big are these? I need ones for a baby beardie

These Hornworms (aka Goliath Worms) measure 1/2 to 3/4 inch long.

More than 1/2 of my hornworms died within days.

Good afternoon, I order hornworms all the time but for some reason they all died this time. Literally only about 16 of the 50 were able to be fed to our bearded dragon. They are expensive so I am disappointed. It has never happened before. Thank you for your time.

This is what I received today after placing the order yesterday. They were not selected with care at all, and they are way too small to feed my beardie and provide

This is what I received today after placing the order yesterday. They were not selected with care at all, and they are way too small to feed my beardie and provide him with proper hydration. Now I have to let them sit and grow, which by the time they’re big enough they’ll most likely be dead. This is not the first time I’ve had issues with this company. Stop caring about taking advantage of pet owners and start actually caring about what they are being provided with.

Don't listen to all the negative reviews hear me out first

All right so I was a little bit judging myself at first when it came to seeing all the bad reviews however I did look kind of into this when they first popped up

All right so I was a little bit judging myself at first when it came to seeing all the bad reviews however I did look kind of into this when they first popped up was about winter in most places freezing temperatures etc so if you all ordered anytime between there this is on y'all y'all should know not to order live insects during the winter and during the core of the summer without knowing the risk yourself I ordered 75 just cuz everybody was saying half was coming up dead or more now I have at least 75 hornworms to feed my reptiles I can't be more happy with the product they are small but I knew that when buying them now I get to watch them grow and then I can feed them to my lizards however for all those negative reviews most of them probably ordered when it was cold and they were not paying attention to their weather and that is on them not on the company I'm sure the company replaced it anyways but just watch your temperatures and they should come alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disappointed- all arrived dead- non-insulated packaging

Unfortunately due to the severe cold weather cold weather temperatures, and packing for these live hornworms only consisted of packing peanuts, all were dead upon arrival. I wish chewy could consider a way to add insulated packing to help keep the life contents warm especially during the frigid cold months. I called right away and was told I would receive a free shipment due to the loss. Well that was 9 days ago, and cannot imagine that when the shipment finally arrives, that any will be alive from being outside in distribution centers.

Well, first off, I only received 18, not 25 as advertised. I figured I would let them grow a bit, and see how it went. I'm experienced in keeping reptiles (25+ years), so I'm well aware of how to store hornworms. There wasn't enough Repashy in the container for even the 18 that were there. I can't imagine if there were 25! The container is also too small for that many hornworms, especially if you want them to grow a bit before feeding. Within a short time, no more food was left, just their "droppings" and they hadn't really grown as much as I had hoped. Also 2 died, so now I was down to 16. I thought ordering with my Chewy order would be more convenient, unfortunately it was disappointing at best. Definitely will not order again.

They grow fast

For everyone saying that the hornworms are too small they're actually perfect because all you have to do is give what your bearded dragon eats into their little

For everyone saying that the hornworms are too small they're actually perfect because all you have to do is give what your bearded dragon eats into their little thing they will eat all of that stuff and grow pretty fast so if they're small just give it time they grow quick I throw lettuce and other stuff in there and they eat all of it and grow big pretty fast

I only received 16 and only 8 alive. The box said live animal but it did not have a arrow to assure the worms safety threw delivery. They were baby shaken up and

I only received 16 and only 8 alive. The box said live animal but it did not have a arrow to assure the worms safety threw delivery. They were baby shaken up and there poop knocked all over them and in there food. I don't think any of them will survive and they are to small to be fed as a countable meal yet, I don't believe any of them will survive long enough to feed any of my dragons. Iv cleaned them up the best I could to getting there poop out of there food. I'm vary disappointed, my advice to the salesman, make sure there shipped in a box that has a arrow pointing up( this side up) and make sure there placed with there food up and the lid down, so they don't pooped in there food because that kills them.
