About Us
Saving Pyrs in Need (SPIN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2004 dedicated to rescuing and rehoming Great Pyrenees dogs facing abandonment, neglect, or euthanasia. Without a physical facility, SPIN operates through a network of volunteers who foster dogs in their homes, providing care, rehabilitation, and placement support. The organization is 100% volunteer-driven and relies on donations to fund medical care, transport, and daily needs. SPIN partners with shelters, veterinarians, and regional groups to identify at-risk dogs, often stepping in for urgent cases.
